Posted on by Defensive Driving | in Defensive Driving Tips

Motor vehicles accidents are the most common cause  of accidental death in the United States. Every 12 minutes someone dies in a crash, every 10 seconds and injury occurs, and every 5 seconds a crash occurs.
One of the reasons for all these accidents are that drivers are becoming more and more aggressive on the roads. Taking a defensive driving course or attending a driving safety school can help you learn some tips to avoid aggressive drivers.
For example:
Pay attention to your own driving.  Don’t provoke other drivers.
Take deep breaths in traffic or listen to soothing music, and don’t take other drivers actions personally.
Don’t challenge aggressive drivers. Move out of their way. Avoid eye contact, and don’t respond to rude gestures.
Allow enough time to get where you are going.  Check traffic reports and avoid congested area’s.

Following these tips will make your drive less stressful and reduce the potential for accidents.
