My Rant

Things I see on a regular basis which drive me nuts!

To the driver of the other vehicle who decided the space in between my car and the car in front of me was enough to “squeeze” in – cars cannot shrink and if not for me being hard on the brake, we get to know each other – really?

To the drivers in the middle lane going 10 to 15 miles below the rate of speed the rest of traffic is flowing at, you are a driving safety hazard and just because you are going 10 to 15 miles slower than everyone else does not make that cell phone conversation any safer (100% of the time this is the case) – Really? Really?   Are you that oblivious to your surrounding environment?  Is the phone call that important – seeing you laugh just makes me mad!  Really!

To the drivers who roll left off of the road in the left lane versus coming to a complete stop and staying in the lane, are you following that closely that you have to leave the lane to avoid hitting the car in front of you or are you just trying to panic the rest of us who are in front of you?   Really!

To the driver that believes being in being so close to a my rear end that you almost will own it, bump drafting is not typically allowed in NASCAR and it certainly isn’t something you should do with strangers – really – you have to be that close?   Oh and by the way… it does not make me drive any faster.   Tailgaters never prosper!

To the weasels on the roadways and you know who you are, the drivers who drive all the way in the far right lane, knowing it will end – what gave you the right to be in front of everyone else?  What makes you more important than the rest of us?
Really!

I am done and I think I will have a much more mature driving attitude on the drive home today now that I have gotten all the junk off my chest from today’s drive in.   On one hand I am thankful there are plenty of future students out there on the roads who will no doubt have to take my defensive driving course or driving safety school, on the other hand, there is good chance I might get wrecked by them… really!.

So, please, slow down, maintain a mature driving attitude and hang up and drive.
