What Does Your Car Say About You?

A car is an extension of its owner, and as such can say a lot about a person. What exactly? We explored the different ways in which different aspects of a car can be a reflection of the person who drives it. Just remember that these are all in good fun, and not meant to stereotype anyone!
Make
People put a lot of weight on what brand of car you drive. You might have the world’s most expensive car, but if it is made by Kia, it’s never going to sound that impressive. So if you do have a really nice car that is a less-respected make, you are probably quite the gear head–you pick your cars based on quality alone. If you have a luxury car, the chances are you are a type A person in a high flying career, and if you drive a junker or any car more than 10 years old, you either do not care about cars, or you’re a student!

More immediately than the make of a car is the size or model of the car. You can tell immediately what kind of person is driving that massive pick up truck versus the small compact sedan. The trickiest people to categorize are those who drive minivans or large SUVs–the chances are that they are just people with a few kids, who chose functionality over personality.
Color
Car color also says a lot about a person. You will rarely meet a shy retiring type who drives a lime green vehicle. The more ostentatious colors–such as gold, bright green, yellow, and so on–are usually driven by those who have a personality to match, unless it was just purchased by someone hoping to shave a bit off the price. Practical people tend to drive white or black cars, ones that will have a good resale value or won’t show too much dirt.
Interior
Our cars are a reflection of who we are, but there are a lot of circumstantial factors that go into what kind of car a person ends up driving. However, a car’s interior says far more about a person than the rest of the car ever will. Whether it is filled with trinkets or sports memorabilia, or maybe just heaps of trash and clothes, it says a lot about the owner of that car. Contrast this with a pristine and immaculate interior, and you have two completely different personalities.
Don’t have a car
And then there are those who don’t have a car at all. Again, you can only tell a certain amount about a person through their choice of car (or lack thereof), but we’re guessing you are either a teenager, or you live in a big city!
