The Traffic Safety Problem

For years it has been believed that the influence of alcohol and drugs are one of the top reasons for crashes.  I, however have a different belief: being under the influence of stupid is the leading cause.  Please let me explain.  There are less and less  people who are mature driving and more and more of immature people driving nowadays. A lot of people have access to vehicles that don’t pay for, don’t have responsibility for and don’t have respect for other peoples lives or property.These same individuals are the distracted drivers speeding, texting, eating and doing everything but paying attention to the road.I think the punishment should be something harsher than just taking a driver safety course maybe a public shaming.  Just a suggestion.
