Summer Car Maintenence

Posted on by Defensive Driving | in Driving and Safety Tips

Its that time of year again.  Its HOT and its going to be this way for a while.  Your car is similar to your body, when you’re outside running around, you break down a little quicker than when its a nice spring or fall day.  The higher temperatures speed up the wear and tear on your vehicle as fluids and lubricants break down quicker in the heat.  You might want to consider some quick maintenance for your driver safety.

When was the last time you checked your engine coolant or the belts, or hoses?  When was your last oil change, or when did you last check your spark plug wires?  Performing these simple maintenance tasks might help you from being a distracted driving disturbance as others will be looking at you as you’re pulled over to the side of the road waiting for a tow.

A simple online driver safety maintenance search will tell you how to do these easy tasks so you can make sure your summer driving is as pain free as possible.  Your vehicle will last longer and its better to know there is something wrong with your vehicle in your driveway or in a shop than it is to find something wrong while you’re stranded on the sided of the road.
