Make Sure Your Windshield Is Clear At All Times…

How can you drive if you can’t see out the windshield? You’d think this would be a question that most drivers never need to answer but surprisingly, many often ignore visual obstructions. By attending to any potential visual impairments right away, you won’t have to ask that question yourself. Rather than risk driving with an obstructed view, you should address the situation in order to be as safe as you can when behind the wheel.

Take for example, a dirty windshield. Keeping your vehicle clean should be at the top of the list of easy ways to for you to practice defensive driving but if nothing else, you should always make sure that your windshield offers a clear view of the road. You may be able to use your wipers and washer fluid to clean the windshield when driving but there are times when that can actually make the problem worse. And if you need to replace your wipers of fill the fluid, then it’s a moot point anyway. There’s also the possibility that the dirt is on the inside and this requires you to clean it by hand.

Another issue some drivers will ignore until it’s much too late is damage to a windshield, such as crack or a chip. Something minor many not restrict your field of vision initially but most damage to a windshield is only going to get worse over time. The longer you wait to address the problem, the more it’s going to cost to repair, so it’s always better to take care of it sooner rather than later.
