Risky Age Groups For Driving.

Posted on by Defensive Driving | in My Kind of Driving

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the nation’s rate of motor vehicle crashes with fatalities has declined steadily and is now the safest on record. However, crashes continue to kill tens of thousands of Americans and injure millions more every year. Two groups of drivers are at risk of being involved in vehicle crashes: teen drivers and senior drivers. Mile for mile, teenagers are involved in three times as many fatal crashes as all other drivers(NHTSA.COM). In 2008, older people accounted for 15 percent of all traffic fatalities and 18 percent of all pedestrian fatalities (NHTSA.COM).

DefensiveDriving.com’s award wining state, approved driver safety course, Wheels In Motion(R.), goes into great detail about factors that put teens and seniors at risk when driving. For those individuals living in the retirement capital of the United States, we have a Florida traffic school course with you in mind.

Happy Motoring!!
