Driving While Fatigued

Posted on by Defensive Driving | in Drive Like ME

Have you ever gotten into the car and started driving, and before you knew it, you were already at your destination?

You don’t remember passing any of the signs or landmarks that you’re familiar with, you just kind of coasted the whole way.   A lot of people drive even though they are “kind of” tired.

Even if you are only a little fatigued you shouldn’t drive. Take a short nap and make sure you are well rested before driving.

Don’t drive more than eight hours at a time or there is a chance that you can fall asleep at the wheel.

Of course there are some situations where you are unable to nap before driving, or you become tired while already on the road. If you are not able to pull over and take a nap, try letting the windows down or playing loud music.

If you can not decide if you are too tired to drive or not, you are. Before driving, make sure you are well rested. It could help you and other drivers a lot more than it may seem.
