In the United States alone… that equals a lot of potential for cell phone use while driving.   As I discussed, Sec. of Transportation, the honorable Mr. La Hood considers distracted driving an epidemic… and it is.   Consider these three facts alone as provided by the National Safety Council:

Motor vehicle crashes are the No. 1 cause of death in the United States for 3 to 34 year olds.

Crashes are among the top three causes of death throughout a person’s lifetime.

Crashes are the No. 1 cause of work related death.

So the question becomes, if the numbers are already this bad – why on earth would you drive and talk on a cell phone?

Driving is one of the few things we do in life that does not require continuing education.   The last test of our driving knowledge and skills the majority of us took was to get our license.
