Driver Safety is something that we all as drivers have to be well aware of. The smallest mistake can cause the biggest accident and sometimes may even cause a life. For most i see on a daily take a pause at a stop sign but not a complete stop. To most that may not be a big issue however to some it may become the biggest memory.

There are different ways to approach a stop sign.When there are stop signs at all corners, stop first; then yield to vehicles already in the intersection or just entering it. Also yield to any vehicle on your right if it has reached the intersection at the same time as your vehicle. At a “T” intersection, vehicles on the through road have the right-of-way.On divided highways, or highways with several lanes, watch out for vehicles traveling in any lane you must cross. Remember, drivers on single-lane highways should yield to drivers on multi-lane highways.

Last night there was a bad accident due to a non proper stop at a stop sign that caused both drivers to be transported to the hospital in stable condition. Police said a middle-aged woman was driving a Mercedes SUV westbound on W. 12Th at Seamist around 9 p.m. when she ran a four-way stop sign and smashed into a BMW.
