Stay on top of Things

Posted on by Defensive Driving | in Driving Distractions

You go outside to check your mail and you notice a letter from an Attorney.

You open the letter and it informs you that you now have a warrant for your arrest because you did not complete your court ordered defensive driving course.

The first thing that comes to your mind is that you mailed in your Certificate of Completion to the court. Once you mailed in the materials for your ticket dismissal you assumed everything was over and done with.

Now you have to contact the court to verify what options you have to get the warrant lifted. This whole scenario could have been avaoided had you stayed on top of things. The moral of the story is you should never assume anything. It’s always best to double check when it comes to serious matters.
